Cast on 33 stiches
1st row:
- knit 1 and increase 1 on this 1st knitted stich
- knit 15
- knit 1 and increase 1
- knit 1 (this 17th stich is the central point)
- knit 1 and increase 1
- knit 15
- knit 1 and increase 1 on this last stich
You will end up with 37 stiches
2nd row: purl all 37 stiches
3rd row:
- knit 1 and increase 1 on this 1st knitted stich
- knit 16
- knit 1 and increase 1
- knit 1 (this 19th stich is the central point)
- knit 1 and increase 1
- knit 16
- knit 1 and increase 1 on this last stich
You should end up with 41 stiches
4th row: purl all 41 the stiches
5th row: repeat increasing 4 stiches, on at each end of the row and each side of the central point. You will end up with 45 stiches
6th row: purl all 45 stiches
7th row: repeat increasing 4 stiches at each end of the row and each side of the central point. You will end up with 49 stiches
8th-12th rows: knit 49
13th row: knit 29, leaving 20 stiches on hold
14th row: purl 8 & purl the next 2 stiches together, leaving 19 stiches on hold
15th row: knit 8 & knit the next 2 stiches together, leaving 19 stiches on hold
16th-30th rows: keep knitting/purling 8 & the next 2 stiches together until there are 11 stiches left on one each side
31st row: knit 8 & knit the next 2 stiches together, knit 11 until the end of the row. You will have 31 stiches left
32nd row: knit 1, purl 1 & repeat for the rest of the row
33th row: purl 1, knit 1; make a loop, knit 2 together and repeat 13 times, purl the last stich
34th row: knit 1, purl 1 for the whole row; you should be knitting the loops & purling the stiches
35th row: purl 1, knit 1 for the whole row as the stiches come
36th row: knit 1, purl 1 for the whole row as the stiches come
Continue until there is enough lenght to the bootie, whether it's straight or turned inside out.
Cast off all the stiches.
Sew the seems and put the ribbon in & out of the wholes created by the loops so it can you can tied up the ribbon at the front.
Repeat x 2.
